Welcome to the REACH section of the EUROALLIAGES website !

The new EU Chemicals Policy, known as REACH entered into force on 1 June 2007. This new European system for regulating chemical safety, will affect most businesses in Europe in one way or another, including the ferro-alloys Industry and even those who would normally not consider themselves involved in chemical regulation.

This REACH section is set up by EUROALLIAGES, association of European ferro-alloys producers, to facilitate the implementation of REACH in the ferro-alloys sector. It is tailored to the specific needs of this sector.

It contains a section specifically devoted to the activities of the Consortium that deals with Silicon, Silica fume, FeSi alloys and Si/FeSi silicate. It has SIEF section that serves as a communication interface with the pre-registrants of the substances covered by the Consortium and participating in the relevant SIEFs.
